At first, I thought this Alpha Pack sling might be a bit too small. But then when I loaded it out, I realized that it was just the right size. It fits my Maui Jim’s in their case, my iPhone 17 Pro Max in its case, and my Anker MagSafe battery perfectly, all without any bulge. The integrated MagSafe dock interface between the battery compartment and the phone compartment is pure genius. Plus, this sling pack has room for the rest of my everyday carry items, like my bulky keys, a tin of Altoids, and my multitool . I love the FIDLOCK buckle and the comfortable, well-made strap. The overall clamshell design makes for easy access and viewing of everything in the well-appointed, feature-laden main compartment. And X-PAC is one of my favorite materials. But I think the best feature is the fast-access, very secure, magnetic closures used on the two compartments. This is a way better implementation than using zippers! Finally, I just love the name, Ember Wolves. 😊

Solid Design, Superb Customer Service
Well-designed by a couple of guys who care about the customer. The size of the main compartment easily accommodates large phones—and compact pistols. My Sig Sauer P365 9mm is a perfect fit. The interior dimensions hold the pistol at the right angle for drawing the pistol. No extra velcro panel and holster required to keep the pistol from flopping around inside. Also, I like the details of the Alpha Pack: quick access magnetic pockets (2), nice buckle, 2 external loop rings for attaching a key clip or carabiner. Zero need for MOLLE loops like some other bags (as a former Marine and cop, I always wonder Who is attaching What to these smaller run-and-gun bags when I see the external loops).If you're looking for high quality and excellent customer service, I highly recommend this pack!
So epic I bought two!
Everything about this pack is epic. Highest quality materials, carries all my stuff and more, magnetic pouches are just a thing of beauty. I think my favorite thing about this pack is the attention to detail given to every little aspect. I bought the black and a coyote brown because I love it so much.
Attention to detail, bomb-proof
The attention to detail on this pack is far beyond any I've purchased before. I happen to be in the manufacturing industry, and I am amazed that EW was able to pull off something like this. The magnetic opening from the front has been a game changer for securing and accessing items on the fly. Given the bomb-proof engineering on this pack, it might be the last one I ever buy. There is absolutely no planned obsolescence with this!

The quick access mag strip and quick release straps are game changers!
The quick access mag strips on either side make accessing your stuff so much more convenient than other bags out there. The quick release strap is also my top favorite feature. The bag design has definitely checked all my boxes of things I wish other bags had. I feel lost without it!
Perfect EDC bag!
This is the perfect size to carry ratio and truly is my everyday carry! The magnetic flaps on the front and rear are invaluable for quick access to wallet, AirPods and iPhone 15 pro, so they stay out of my pockets and in the Alpha Pack.
Love this pack!
I like the overall concept of the Alpha Pack, especially the magnetic quick-access pockets and the different ways to carry it. For occasional or short-term use, I didn’t notice any issues.
However, after wearing it for a full day, I found several snags on my clothing. The attachment points where the buckles connect to the shoulder strap have sharp corners near the stitching, which rub against the fabric and eventually catch on it.
This might not be noticeable during short periods of use, but it becomes a serious problem when the sling is worn for several hours. A bag designed to stay in constant contact with clothing shouldn’t have exposed sharp edges that can damage it.
I’m surprised this wasn’t caught during product testing or quality control.

This really is the best pocket replacement bag I have ever tried. I've tried a lot of them, but some were too small, some were too big, not enough organization, not east to get into, this one has it all.
Material is first rate. Strap is just think enough without being too large for a small bag. Magnetic opening works great. Everything about it is just perfect.

LOVE THIS BAG! The bag feels like it was custom designed for my life on the go. The size is just right to hold all of my daily carry items - pens, notebook, phone, AirPods, keys, etc. The magnetic pockets keep everything inside and easy to access when I need it. The design looks great! The black exterior goes great with whatever I'm wearing, and the bright orange interior makes it easy to locate when I need.

The design is unique and innovative - the magnetic enclosure openings make for quick retrieval of things like your iPhone or Keys. I wasn't able to get the MagSafe charging to work - but it may have been my battery, I'll have to try another. The inside with the loop atachments seemed small at first, but they will easily accommodate a Leatherman Arc, Spyderco Paramilitary 3, and other likewise sized tools. Great for pocket dump plus carry.

Love this thing! Just right for fitting keys, credit cards, phone and eye wear. I'm getting older, and need to start wearing glasses. My pockets were getting a little weighed down with everything I'm toting around every day. This is a handy way to store it all.
Love the new travel pouch/bag. The only change I would make is just having it a little wider on the bag. Love the charger side pocket with the magnets. Great idea on that one.
A very well designed small sling. The MagSafe pass-through feature is amazing and very thoughtful. The quick access pockets work great. It makes it easy for me to grab my phone or my wallet.
Just thee right size for everything I need to carry. The strap is the perfect width and thickness such that it doesn't dig into my neck or shoulder. The buckle is a really nice touch as well. I've used a fanny pack for years but this bag is much more versatile. Love it.
I actually love this bag, it's made very well and I can fit more stuff than it seems. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, is that the center pocket which zips, can be accessed from the front pocket that does not zip. So in my mind, it is not secure enough for the airport, which I am sad about because I truly love the bag. So When I put my wallet in the middle, someone bumping into to me could access my cash. Had I known that (maybe I did not read the description thoroughly) I would not have purchased it, as it is a premium price. But it is very well made and very pretty.

On the center pocket design: you’re absolutely right that the middle compartment can also be accessed through the front magnetic pocket. That was a deliberate choice—our goal was to make the bag fast to load out and easy to access from either direction when you’re on the go. A lot of customers like the speed and convenience, but we know it can feel a little unconventional at first.
Your security concern is totally valid. In real-world use, the magnetic closure is fairly strong and most people naturally wear the bag in front and higher on the chest in crowded places like airports, which makes unwanted access very unlikely. That said, feedback like yours is exactly what helps us keep improving, and we’re actively exploring ways to offer a more fully isolated pocket in a future version while keeping the quick-access feel.

I have been looking for an easy access magnetize sling bag under 2l for a long long long time! I have tried them all. Amazon, Wardard, Modern DF Active, Alpaka, but they were not carefully thought out. I came across this sling a year ago, but didn't want to pay the $$ to get it. After trying these other slings and feeling underwhelmed, I purchased this sling and it is not my EDC. I love this bag! Thank you for spending the hours designing this bag. The Best of the Best!
I’ve wasted money on several high-end EDC sling packs…NOT THIS TIME! This pack is the best available to date. The materials used are without a doubt the highest quality. Perhaps more importantly, the design/organization is pretty darn close to perfect for its size. I struggled to find a compact sling that could hold just the essential EDC items while maintaining secure, quick access. I’m able to fit the following: iPhone 14 PRO Max, slim Cool Gadget Magnetic power bank, Randolph Engineering Sunglasses with a slim case, CountyComm Carbon Fiber 3x5 notepad, Ti Designs Titanium Techliner Shorty Pen, Civivi Elementum II Knife, Chapstick, Olight Baton 4 Flashlight, Nooz reading glasses (yep…getting old), and last but not least…my Bossman stainless steel beard comb. If I wanted, I could squeeze my wallet in there…but I just don’t feel comfortable as I prefer that remains in my pocket. This is a lot of stuff to fit in such a small profile sling. The magnetic fidlock opening panels on front and back are amazing for quick access and I’ve been using this pack for a few weeks now and can attest that I have zero concerns about security or anything falling out. I love that the pack can unzip and open completely flat for access and organization. Also, after my experiences with other slings, I’d never purchase one without some sort of rotating strap attachment to help keep the sling hugging close to body. The non-fixed attachment rings allow for this, but Ember Wolves didn’t stop there. They take it a step beyond the rest of the packs with the offset Fidlock buckle that enables you to easily access it no matter where you have the pack positioned, either front or back. It also makes it more secure because with other packs if the sling pack is in the front, then the Fidlock buckle is on your back making it so someone can unfasten from behind you. The offset design here keeps the buckle at your chest or just under your arm so nobody can sneak up, release it, and snatch your sling. Okay, I’ve ranted on…so, what would I improve if I could? I’d like to see the next iteration of this pack to have slightly taller front fidlock panel so I can make better use of the elastic loops and fit slightly more in that compartment. For example, I’d much prefer to be able to store my pen there vs. the loop at the bottom of the main compartment. Also, I’d prefer the elastic loops alternate between slim and wide instead of both wide loops being on the sides. The reason being is things like my civivi knife are forced to go in one of the side loops and the way the compartment opens it’s difficult to access quickly because the magnetic lip gets in the way. Now if that compartment was at least 4.5 inches tall it might be easier to navigate. Oh, the built-in magnetic charging ring, which the site doesn’t call out very well is amazing! When you slip your phone into the back panel, it magnetically connects to the built-in ring and makes a very satisfying click as it secures it in place. Then in the main compartment you slide in your magnetic power bank and it magnetically connects to the same point so you can charge your phone right though the two separate compartments. Plus, that built in magnetic ring keeps MagSafe phones and power banks from shifting around…an added bonus. Okay, I’ve rambled on, but there are just too many great things to share about this pack! I’m now a huge fan…and will certainly follow this brand! I purchased the grab color and it’s the perfect shade of grey. After showing my gf the Alpha Pack she decided she wants the white camo version. Thanks Ember for giving us options…as I’ll most likely end up with a black version, too. If you are a discerning buyer and are on the fence driving yourself crazy comparing slings…let me stop you and save you from you…lol…buy this one! I own the best of the best and this one tops them all!
